Anthony Broyles is an assistant instructor in Shaolin Wing Chun under his Sifu Master Chango Noaks at Meng’s of Richmond. He is also a certified instructor in Gracie Jujitsu Defense Systems via the Gracie University under head instructor Rener Gracie. Mr. Broyles is currently a member of the Ohio Air National Guard where he works as an analyst and also instructs military and civilian members in Gracie Defense Systems. His interest in martial arts started at the age of eleven with the study of Tae Kwon Do. He studied under Sensei Michael Reese all through high school in his hometown Wise, VA where he was also an accomplished wrestler.
After graduation he joined the U.S. Navy where he took a break from martial arts with the exception of a short study of Aikido while stationed abroad. After transitioning from active service and into the Air National Guard he relocated to Eaton, OH where he found Master Noaks and the family at Meng’s Martial Arts of Richmond. Mr. Broyles began his training in Shaolin Wing Chun in 2011 and shortly after was accepted into the leadership and instructor candidate programs under Master Noaks. Since that time he has been helping his younger brothers and sisters along their Kung Fu journey and representing Meng’s of Richmond in many martial arts tournaments and seminars.
Along with his martial arts training Mr. Broyles recently finished a Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautics via Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. After which he enrolled in and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Astronautics through the Air Force Institute of Technology. Once his academics are complete and he has become a certified instructor within the Meng’s organization, he hopes to open up his own school. Where he can teach others what he has learned and help perpetuate the art of Shaolin Wing Chun.
